Holiday Bonanza: Arthur’s fabulous Warrior Poem

Arthur has found some fabulous words for his warrior poem. This poem has been polished as every line shines. I love the similes. The poem also has a great start and a great finish. Good job Arthur. I was delighted to read this.

Hello Paula

My name is Arthur G and I am 9 years old and go to Appleby School in Nelson.  This is my poem called The Warrior.

I opened the door and there he was
His metal weapons and amour clunking as his giant feet stomped on the wooden floor
His shiny blue eyes glistened in the sun light
The arrow tip in his quiver gleamed like little flames
His hair was as black as coal
It swayed in the wind like ashes off the fire of a well won battle.
