Holiday poetry bonanza challenge: nursery rhyme jam

Thanks to everyone who has sent in a poem.

It is such a treat to hear from you.

Today you might like to play with a nursery rhyme.

Here is one I did in Macaroni Moon (Random House).

Mary Had a Little Lamb

Mary had a little lamb
that got itself in a sticky mess.
It stuck its head in a pot of jam
and got strawberry muck on Mary’s dress.

Send your nursery rhymes to paulajoygreen@gmail.com. Include your name, age, year and name of school. Have fun!

Thanks. Thanks to for commenting on the poems as you do. It is such a buzz for the young writers when someone takes the time out to comment. Cheers!
