And then I went Ormond School with sizzling rhyme and shimmering words

I drove into the country to find this lovely little school. Hugs all around when I walked into a warm country welcome. First I saw the Juniors who have sent in poems to Poetry Box. Such popping poems we made up together. Then to the Seniors whose rhyming skills were extraordinaire when we made up a poem. The bird poem was rather good too. We shuffled up the lines and it sounded even better. Sad to leave but here I am in a gorgeous Gisborne cafe drinking peppermint tea before the event starts in the bookshop down below.

Today is the first day I have read from The Treasury and it is so hard picking poems to read!
