Woohoo hoowoo! Ewen has made up a challenge just for you!

I invited you all to try making up your own poetry challenges that I could post for other children to do. This is one Ewen invented. It is so cool I had a go too!

Have a go and send it with your details to paulajoygreen@gmail.com. Inlcude your name, age, year and name of school.

Ewen’s challenge:

Find words that are the beginning sounds of other words like …

Pea- Peanut
Fun- Funnel
Spa – Spark
Chill- Children
Star- Starch
Sum- Summer
Row- Roses

and then make it into a poem!

Have you ever found a pea in your peanut?
Or fun in your funnel?

A spa in your spark?
Or a chill in your children?

A star in your starch?
If you have…

Here is Paula’s try at the challenge! I have hidden mine.

The Sea Season

When I went to the sea in the summer sea season

I got sand in my beetroot sandwich

and a bee landed on my hot head

because I had a toffee drop on my tongue

and a droplet of honey on my nose

and I stubbed my toe on a rock

after my foot missed the football.

Such a laughter disaster day

I took the next rocket to MARS!
